During operation, the servo circuit supplies current to the pendulum coils after detecting a displacement from the balance position. The upper torquer helps establish the magnetic field in which the energized coils operate, supporting the force-rebalance process.<\/p>\n

The upper and lower torquers should be treated as matched structural components. Diameter, internal profile, assembly height, working clearance and magnetic-circuit compatibility should be confirmed before replacement.<\/p>\n
